About the committee

St. Brigid's Hall Committee was founded to renovate a dilapidated community hall, in order to supply a much needed hearth of the community for Kilrossanty and it's surrounding area.

A lot of hard work, time and effort has gone into this project over the last decade, thanks to dedicated committee members, and of course generous parishoners, without whom none of this would be possible.

Situated in the foothills of the picturesque Comeragh mountains, only minutes from the sea, Kilrossanty is a haven of tranquility. A rural village, dependent on it's farming background, Kilrossanty is a warm, welcoming community, but until recently, it lacked a place where the people could come together to share common interests. We, as the hall committee are proud to now be able to provide such a place.

Many committees and clubs use the hall, be it for I.C.A (Irish Countrywomen's Association) meetings and craft days, circle dance classes, school plays, whist and other card games, there is always a hum of excitement around the hall, making it a wonderful place to spend time in.
